Bird Song Skills Improvement Group

"On Monday 28th May 2012, the Bird Song Skills Improvement Group met for a 2 hour stroll from The George, Bathampton, heading towards Claverton along the Kennet and Avon canal towpath. There were plenty of Blackcaps and Wrens singing, a few Blackbirds, Song Thrushes and Chiffchaffs. We found a pair of Willow Warblers, a singing male and his mate collecting caterpillars, hopefully for a brood of hungry chicks. We saw and heard one Garden Warbler and a couple of Whitethroats. Banded and Beautiful Demoiselle dragonflies, Orange Tip and Peacock butterflies added to the overall enjoyment of our walk on a lovely warm and sunny morning".
Saw the Bath Peregrine chicks on Saturday evening for first time.
